#MarchMeetTheMaker WEEK ONE:

Hello all! I've been taking part in the hashtag #marchmeetthemaker this year! Scroll down to see what we've been up to!

DAY 1 / YOU

It's the first day of March which means it's time for #marchmeetthemaker again! Last year we attempted and failed but we are determined to give it another go! Today's first prompt is "YOU"

Hello everyone 👋🏻 For those who don't know, my name is Hannah, I am 20 years old and the creative hands behind LPC and the lifestyle blog "Hannah Venables" I do look a bit evil in this picture but it's ok...

I have been running my small biz now for just over a year! During the week I work in a fancy hotel as a waitress and when I get home that's my time to start packing orders and designing new products 💌

LPC is reopening in the next couple of weeks with BRAND NEW PRODUCTS & a BRAND NEW WEBSITE 🎉 all we can say is... PETS

So let's be friends! My username on any platform is @hnnhvnbls come and say hello 👋🏻 .

DAY 2 / FAVOURITE TO MAKE

As LPC is slowly but surely reaching into more pet products, keeping with the theme, one "product" I have loved and still love to make is my PET PORTRAITS 💕 It's my best selling item and I always look forward to painting them!

My favourite part of the whole process is receiving lovely emails from you guys knowing I'm going to open them up and see A HELLA CUTE PICTURE OF YOUR PET STARING RIGHT AT ME! 😭 I love my job.....
.
PET PORTRAITS WILL BE AVAILABLE AGAIN WHEN OUR WEBSITE REOPENS IN A FEW WEEKS TIME! But for now you can still purchase one from our Etsy!

DAY 3 / WORKSPACE

I could show you the current state of my workspace BUT IT'S AN ABSOLUTE TIP RIGHT NOW, as I'm trying to gradually throw away all my old shit, so here's some prettier pictures of my favourite place to be (I don't always have birthday flowers on display on my desk)

Luckily my lovely Nan has this spare room in the house and let me do whatever I wanted with it! It was my mums hairdressing space before me and my granddads office before that!

I am very grateful to have this space, I don't think I would have carried on my business if I had to work from my lap 💖

DAY 4 / TOOLS

My main weapons of choice for creating ~anything~ for LPC is pencils, fine liners, black paint, my trusty watercolour palette and my scanner to put everything onto my Mums iMac (another thing that I'm incredibly grateful for) my mum bought an iMac and then doesn't use it???

Having a notebook to write down all my hopes, dreams and aspirations is also really handy to have lying around when inspiration strikes!

My camera is also a big part of the tools I use every single day, whether it's taking product pics or pictures for my blog! P.S Don't be alarmed by the corks I just use them as stamps 💌

DAY 5 & 6 / BOOMERANG & RAW MATERIALS

We didn't get time to do yesterday's #marchmeetthemaker so here's 2 in one!

I stick with good old pen and paper, or in this case paint and paper when coming up with ideas, plus some prosecco corks I made into stamps!

DAY 7 / HOW IT'S MADE

I thought I'd make a little video showing you how I make one of the new products going on my shop when it reopens and that's PET BANDANAS!

Here I'm just practicing with some old fabric, the real bandanas will be made with water resistant fabric and come in 3 different sizes PLUS two black and white patterns to choose from 🐶

Feel free to take a look at what I'll be sharing over on my shops instagram in the next few days, the next prompt is "WHERE"

P.S Lazy Pencil Co might be closed at the minute but were still selling on etsy!
